Ode to a code

Dear code,
If I write ode in C, that would be code. Sorry for starting with lame joke, but anyway I'm gonna start writing ode to you, code.
Code, sometimes I feel sad when no one notices you and the world you've changed. They don't know even writing this ode is under your control. With your effort, this content goes into the database, making people available to see this. Not only this, but also the google's complicate searching algorithms, facebook's finding friends skill and League of Legends's team matching skill - They are all made by you. The world we are living in have become efficient and productive by you. You deserve more concerns and understanding considering your endeavor.
Code, sometimes my heart be full when I'm writing you. I always think the easiest way to change the world for 18 years old boy is to write a fantastic code with creative ideas. Actually, you are the idea itself. You are the process idea becoming substance. You enable me to change the world. I appreciate even the slightest help you have made. My faithful assistant, I appreciate a lot.
Code, sometimes but I'm irritated by your fastidious taste. You don't pass difference in spelling, even the capital letter. You are particular about the order also. Some sentences must be the first at your body. All of this trivial regulations frustrate me so hard that I don't even want to look your face again. I'm confused who's the master - Is it me who writes you or you who make me follow your rule?
Code, but I know all those irritating regulations and rules are for me. I know you exist to help and serve me to the full extent. I know your first purpose is to function exactly as I have wrote. Even i said sometimes i got irritated by you, but I am amazed every time watching you function after I finish coding. Where else can I find a devoted assistant who follows my command accurately? You are the one irreplaceable.

Code, before I called your name you were just words. When I called your name you came to me and became a program. Code, let's change the world by us. I hope you follow me as you have done, I know you will.

  1. Interesting, creative, and even creepy. The code is literally interacting with me. I can see you clearly have some talent for it.

Your Ode to Code made me think of highschool when I was foreced to learn some very basic DOS on some very basic computers in a class called Computer Science. I hated that class. So did the teacher. Hardly any student learned a single thing and it was a complete mess. We didn't care and the teacher didn't either. That class was later removed from schools because it was discovered that MOST people simply can't be bothered to learn code, and nor should they. It's deep understanding is only reserved for the unique few, and KMLA seems to have many of those. I wish you luck, and I'll never take code for granted again. The Matrix and Y2K are two things that made me think deeply about code, and now this. Good work.
