Overal Rating : ★☆☆☆☆
I have used educational service called KMLA about 2 years, an enough time to scrutinize it and recognize its advantage and disadvantage. I divided field of evaluation into 4 fields, quality of education, price, members and dormitory life.
1. quality of education ★★☆☆☆
- Compared to other (general) schools, the quality of education is rather fair. Actually it should be, considering the tremendous tuition we pay for. However, there were some classes barely having educational quality that it looked like better to study alone with books. There were also classes even decreased my educational interests in that subject. I liked the subject before the class, but it has changed because the teacher poorly taught the subject with tedious tone.
An elective system is one of the virtues KMLA has. It enables me to choose the subject I have interest in. It is an advantage that I can experience it earlier while other students would experience it in a university. It is, however, an obstacle that the option to choose classes is limited due to KMLA's small number of students. For example, I was forced to choose between classes I don't have any interests in some modules. So I would say this elective system is a limited system, having faults should be improved.
Teachers are actually the most important factor considering quality of education. It would be desirable if every teacher has the knowledge of the subject and a skill to convey that, but unfortunately not. They all have some degree of knowledge required to teach students. It is because school gives a consideration to applicants' education level seriously when they interview teacher applicants. However, the skill of teaching is as important as knowledge, and this is the one some of KMLA teachers lack of. It seems like they don't care about the difficulty, their tones or how students will get at all. This is the reason dropping the quality of education of KMLA heavily.
2. price ●☆☆☆☆ (a half star)
- The tuition for KMLA is enormous. It's even expensive than any of universities in Korea. Most of general parents cannot afford this, so it's not surprising people criticize KMLA as an elite school. If i have got an appropriate treatment for the money I(my parents) had pay for, I would not give that harsh score to this section. The problem is, I didn't. This education is poor even though I pay twice as much as other do to Korean universities , school facilities are nothing but just facilities and my room is consists of a desk and a bed. I can use 20 million won more wisely getting more great welfare and happiness.
Not only the tuition, but also other miscellaneous things cost so much. The price of a meal is 5000 won whereas I evaluate it 3000 won at most. I payed for a musical instrument five hundreds thousands won although I used it less than 10 hours in total. I have some doubts that school has a corruption connected to these problems, but I can't prove it.
3. members ★☆☆☆☆This is the thing exactly I learned in KMLA
- As most of groups, KMLA have some good members and bad members. Those bad members are irritating and making me to realize how much I hate some people. Why is it irritating so much? It's because KMLA's so small and dormitory school, I have to watch them again and again. One of the characteristics people I hate are political. They intentionally approach to other students and use them to accomplish their goals. I believe that I'm sensitive and can figure out other people very easily by nature. Thus I can feel those intentions and artifice which irritate me and make me hate them. One of my friends said that it raises a mental problem to make people live in secluded area with limited people, and it is happening in KMLA. I totally agree with him, and can actually see it's happening. I just can't stand that I have to face everyday I can't bear with smiling face.
4. dormitory life ★☆☆☆☆
- Am i living in a dormitory or a prison? I can't even move to other rooms over 12'o clock and can't sleep before 11. This is not the life I pursue. I consider a freedom the most important value in my life and it directly against KMLA's dormitory life. Moreover, living with other people can be extremely irritating depends on roommates. In most of my KMLA life, the roommates were fine. I enjoy hanging out with them. However, I had a very uncomfortable experience with one of my roommates. Since then, I realized that living with other people can be very uncomfortable, and I'm not the one adaptable to this system.
In total, I'm evaluating KMLA very negatively. I would not recommend KMLA if people ask about KMLA. Maybe those negative evaluations are up to my problem not KMLA's. But KMLA should remind that if people start to get similar thoughts to mine to KMLA, KMLA cannot exist anymore.

We all have "good days" and "bad days," and for the most part just "average boring days." I'm going to assume you wrote this on a "bad day." I'm not going to say that any of the things you wrote above are wrong, but I will say that they are "right" in the context of society in general - which is exactly what school prepares us for.
답글삭제So, you will eventually discover as you get older that every institution suffers from the same things. And yes indeed, any group of people no matter how big or small will eventually suffer malfunctions especially if they are in the same place for an extended period of time. I don't envy living in a dorm, but it can and will make you a better person.
So, kind of funny. Kind of "whooooa." Kind of "omg." Kind of "poor guy. He misses home." All in all, an honest review. ;)
